I was born and raised in Modesto. I’m running to build on the progress we’ve made during my first term and to continue delivering results that improve quality of life across our city. I’ve worked every day to deliver real results for District 2, and I’m seeking re-election to keep that momentum going.

I was first elected to the Modesto City Council in 2022 and served as Vice Mayor in 2024. I was born in Modesto and raised in the westside. I attended Burbank Elementary, boxed at the Maddux Youth Center, and played little league baseball at the Westport Southside Youth Baseball League. I attended Modesto Junior College, earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Idaho, and completed my master’s degree from the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management.
I announced my re-election campaign to continue serving District 2, which includes the Downtown, Westside, Southside, and Airport neighborhoods. I'm honored and proud to represent a diverse and historic community of approximately 40,000 residents within Modesto’s 220,000-strong population and I am committed to building on my record of principled leadership and positive results for the city.

Since first being elected in 2022, I have advanced economic development efforts, championed public safety investments, and directed long-overdue resources to deteriorating sidewalks, neighborhood streets, and pedestrian access. My approach emphasizes practical solutions supported by community engagement and accessible local government.
We measure progress by real results—what actually improves people’s daily lives. Data from the Modesto Police Department tells the story:
MPD Crime Stats, August 2025:
I plan to continue investing in and expanding community-centered safety strategies, supporting effective and accountable policing, and ensuring families feel safe in every neighborhood. We've made important strides here, such as the historic zero homicide rate in 2025. District 2 is safer today than at any point in recent memory.
That is not rhetoric, that is reality. Because of the decisions my Council colleagues and I have made — prioritizing public safety, accountability, transparency, and fiscal discipline — Modesto is both safer and more fiscally stable than it has been in decades.
Continue to drive business growth, strengthen commercial corridors, support local entrepreneurs, and secure responsible investment that creates jobs and expands opportunity in District 2. On the City Council, I serve as Chair of key committees focused on economic development and appointments, helping guide policy that impacts jobs, growth, and enhances city service delivery.
Clean and safe parks goes hand in hand with public safety. District 2's Fourth St. Park and MLK Park are the largest park renovations in Modesto's history. Under my leadership, Fourth St. Park alone has received $17 million for comprehensive upgrades, including: new pool, water park, skatepark, and soccer fields. These are the types of budget allocations I will continue to fight for in my second term, including investments in other District 2 parks such as Robertson Road Park and the Tuolumne River Regional Park.
I plan to keep projects delivered on time and well-maintained by ensuring cameras are connected to and monitored by Modesto Police Department's Real Time Crime Center (RTCC). This ensures our youth are safe to play, learn, and thrive. In my first year in office, $105,000 was approved for 8 security cameras for blight abatement use in high illegal dumping areas, several parks, and sections of the Tuolumne River Regional Park - all connected to the RTCC. There is more work to do, and i'm prepared to continue leading, listening, and delivering for District 2.
I plan to continue accelerating long-overdue sidewalk repairs, improving pedestrian safety, and modernizing neighborhood infrastructure that has been neglected for decades. We've seen historic investments in my first term and I plan to attract more state and federal dollars to invest in our communities.
In 2024, we successfully fought for and approved $3 million to revamp sections of Paradise Road, including sidewalk repair, crosswalk repainting, roundabouts, and upgraded traffic signage. We also approved a total repavement of Winmoore Road off of Crowslanding. We must continue to be proactive about basic sidewalk accessibility and safety issues in the City of Modesto not reactive.
My council colleagues and I recently voted to approve the city’s 2025-2026 Strategic Plan and in that plan infrastructure was identified as a top priority.
Under my leadership, West Modesto now has modern underground water utility infrastructure, which has resulted in better water quality and better water pressure in homes. I plan to expand these upgrades across the entire District during my second term.
